A rare opportunity has arisen for a permanent part-time Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team at Mount Hospital. You will be working 4.5 hours daily surrounded by beautiful parklands.

Located in Perth city, our 224 bed private hospital is conveniently located on Mounts Bay Road. As part of the Finance team at Mount Hospital, the Assistant Accountant is responsible for the preparation of monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, AP invoice processing, sundry invoicing, debtor’s follow-up, credit cards allocations, and other ad-hoc tasks as allocated.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a dynamic environment with accuracy, attention to details, meeting deadlines and strong communication skills.


Essential Criteria:

  • Month-end journals and closing
  • Variance and trend analysis
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Make suggestions for improvement as appropriate.
  • Proficiency with Excel and ERP system
  • Outcome orientated


Desirable Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification (Accounting)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience preferably gained in a commercial environment
