Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing individuals to join our busy Perioperative team. We are currently recruiting for two positions, both will be given the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute towards the clinical outcomes of our perioperative department:
- Theatre Set Ups - 60 hours/fortnight
- Day Surgery - 76 hours/fortnight
As an Assistant in Nursing, your responsibilities will include:
- Completion of surgical/instrument set ups for theatre lists
- Cleaning and inventory duties
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
- Ensure consumable stock is rotated and date checked
- Assist clinical team to locate instruments at short notice
- Rotation of stock
- Monitoring/recording temperatures
- Putting away sterilised stock

Essential Criteria:
- Certificate in a healthcare qualification
- An understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and motivated
- Able to handle a buy workload
