Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with sound experience in scrub/scout Orthopedics? We need you to assist our Perioperative Services Manager in the leadership and clinical support of the theatre team.

Position Responsibilities –

The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward/unit to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.

With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.

You will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources. Full-time or Part-time positions available

The Hospital includes; 147 beds across 5 wards providing Medical, Surgical and Rehabilitation Services, combined Intensive care and Coronary care unit, Emergency Department, 7 Operative suites, Catheter Laboratory, Day of Surgery Admission and Day Infusion/Oncology Services.  


Selection Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Grade 2, Year 2 or above
  • Sound clinical knowledge
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills
  • Degree in relevant specialty area
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive role modelling behaviours
  • Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
