Are you a skilled Biomedical Services Support Technician seeking an exciting career progression opportunity? This role is for you! Join our leadership team and be involved in providing strategic direction in the planning and delivery of biomedical engineering services.

As the Biomedical Services Support Technician your responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver advanced technology support services with minimal supervision including but not limited to preventive maintenance, repairs, installation and general technical support
  • Perform cross-discipline activity as required
  • Accurately document activity in the relevant information systems
  • Assist supervisors and managers as directed with service planning, establishing priorities and scheduling major work programs
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives
  • Contribute to the development and continual improvement of technical practice and processes.

Led by top consultants and dedicated nurses, our multidisciplinary team comprises expertise in all areas of medical/surgical treatment and obstetrics, including 24-hour emergency and cardiac care, intensive care, maternity, pediatrics and rehabilitation.  Gold Coast Private boasts two cardiac catheterization laboratories, including a hybrid theatre, separate onsite day surgery facility as well as robotic assisted surgery (da Vinci® Xi™ and Mako).  By working closely together across all of our medical specialties, we can ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive package of care and treatment.



Essential Criteria:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualifications in Biomedical Engineering
  • Hold the Restricted Electrical Work Licence or to make significant progress toward obtaining such during the first 6 months of employment
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving ability
  • Demonstrated electrical, electronic and computer skills required for implementing and repairing modern biomedical equipment
  • Previous experience in the use of software for data collection, signal processing, experimental control, data analysis and/or report keeping
  • Travel and On-call requirements: Biomedical Services (BTS) is committed to providing appropriate services at all times.  Staff may be required to transfer to another work location.
