An opportunity exists for a Catering Services Manager to join our well established and highly reputable Catering Department. We offer a supportive atmosphere, with an extensive education program so you get to work in a role that offers you work-life balance.

About us: 

Lady Davidson Private Hospital is one of the largest private dedicated rehabilitation hospitals in Australia. As an ACHS accredited 115 bed rehabilitation facility based in North Turramurra you will be working in a team passionate about delivering patient care. We are specialists in orthopaedics, cancer/oncology and neuro-spinal rehabilitation, providing both inpatient and day programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing people and budgets, building high functioning teams
• Ensuring high service standards are maintained
• Retaining contracts and establishing ongoing sound business relationships with key stakeholders, clients and colleagues

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience in purchasing, rostering, online ordering, event catering and all other aspects of onsite management and reporting systems.
• Experienced cook fresh systems and dealing with all aspects of kitchen management, infection control, housekeeping and administration, as well as hands on catering
• Sound knowledge of accreditation standards and workplace auditing for healthcare hospitality facilities
• Have consistently achieved "A" ratings in internal and external audits and exceeded industry compliance standards in all roles.
• Food Authority Audit process and experience plus past success
• Implement Food Safety Program
• Liaise with management and facility staff
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional service 

Desirable: 

• Qualified Chef with extensive experience managing the delivery of effective and efficient catering services to healthcare hospitality facilities
• Skilled in implementing initiatives to improve patient satisfaction including textured-modified foods, staff safety awareness and knowledge of PEAL program
• Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Highly organised, efficient and effective
• Excellent time management skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or hospitality would be an advantage
