Are you an experienced Health Information Management leader ready to take your career to the next level?

Knox Private Hospital is seeking an exceptional Chief Health Information Manager to lead our Health Information Services department and help drive the next chapter of our hospital's growth and digital transformation.

This is more than a traditional HIM role. As a key member of the Senior Hospital Leadership Team, you will influence strategic decision-making, champion best-practice health information governance, and lead initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and operational performance.

Located in Wantirna, our fully accredited tertiary facility features 334 beds and provides a comprehensive range of services including emergency care, critical care, cardiac services, medical and surgical specialties, and complex procedures across a broad range of disciplines.

About the Opportunity

As Chief Health Information Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, quality, security and accessibility of health information across the hospital.

You will:

·         Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Health Information Services team

·         Lead health information governance, medical records management and privacy compliance programs

·         Drive excellence in clinical coding, documentation improvement and data quality initiatives

·         Support effective funding outcomes through accurate and timely coding processes

·         Ensure ongoing compliance with legislation, accreditation standards and industry best practice

·         Partner with clinical and operational leaders to optimise systems, processes and performance

·         Lead continuous improvement projects and digital health initiatives

·         Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and service excellence

About You

You are a passionate and forward-thinking leader who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and enjoys building high-performing teams.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

·         Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management

·         Eligibility for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA)

·         Extensive experience in Health Information Management within a hospital setting

·         Proven leadership success in developing and leading engaged, high-performing teams

·         Strong knowledge of health information legislation, privacy requirements, accreditation standards and clinical coding frameworks

·         Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills

·         Demonstrated ability to lead people, change, drive improvement and influence outcomes

·         A strategic mindset combined with a collaborative, patient-centred approach
