About the opportunity
Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as a Clinical Nurse! We’re looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Oncology/Day Infusion team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team, ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered. Our 30-bed ward is dedicated to providing the best treatment possible, and our nurses are here to support patients and their families whilst you are in our care.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 339-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.
With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

As a Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Supervise and guide nursing team members
- Educate and support patients in recovery, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care
- Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development
- Provide supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
- Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient care
- Serve as a role model for safe practices
Essential Criteria:
· Authority to Work in Australia
· Clinical Nurse applicants must have advanced clinical skills and at least 5 years' nursing experience. Post-graduate qualifications required/preferred
· Palliative care, chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and pain management experience
· Working with Children check (if relevant)
· Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
· Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care
· Self-motivated team player
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Queensland - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $54.91 and $58.75 per hour + superannuation)
