Lady Davidson is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for a 6 month secondment to join their team. This position will work in partnership with the Medical Director, Department Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Infection Control and Workplace Health and Safety to deliver identified programs and Education as specified in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS).
The right candidate will have extensive clinical skills combined with a vast knowledge base and the ability to connect with and teach other motivated professionals. Our training packages are designed to introduce and upskill nurses from beginners into experienced Rehabilitation nurses. Will you be the one to lead them?
As an Clinical Nurse Educator/Student Facilitator your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee Student Placement bookings
- Oversee running of the Graduate Nurse Program
- Lead the coordination, delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the site
- Monitor compliance to all mandatory training and competency requirements
- Facilitate competency programs
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years Registered Nurse experience.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience in designing, coordinating and facilitating structured educational programs that support the upskilling of nurses from novice to expert levels in Rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated involvement in audit and quality improvement initiatives, including the ability to identify areas for enhancement, implement evidence-based changes and evaluate outcomes to improve patient care and service delivery.
- Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams, patients and stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaboration and relationship-building.
- Ability to objectively evaluate and assess learning needs and outcomes.
- Ability to deliver hands-on practical education.
- Ability to undertake education presentations.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in workplace assessment and training.
- Ability to use simulation modalities to enhance training delivery.
