About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is looking for a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse to join our established Intensive Care Unit on a full time, basis.
We are a 7-bed, Intensivist led ICU department, with a dedicated ICU Educator and effective staff education/support plans in place.

Brisbane Private Hospital is a 181 bed facility. ICU provides expert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. The hospital is centrally located on the fringe of the CBD with excellent public transport access.
As the Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:
· Deliver quality-nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care
· Provide a standard of care according to the individuals’ level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment
· Provide leadership and support to an established team
· Identify and action quality improvement activities
· Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication
Essential Criteria:
· Current Registration with AHPRA
· Post Graduate Certificate in ICU/Critical Care Nursing (or working towards)
· A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience within an ICU/Critical Care environment
· Demonstrated ability to identify, initiate and action quality improvement projects within a team
· Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
· Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
· Flexible to work rotating shifts
· Intermediate computer skills
