The Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist contributes to the efficient, effective and economic running of the unit. Your clinical expertise and commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), will see you as the senior clinician providing best practice education to staff, and care to patients.
Your new department is open 24/7, generally with shorter waiting times, a focus on patient treatment, outcomes, and experience! You will be guiding a small but mighty team of highly experienced and dedicated clinical nursing staff who advocate for their patients and create a positive working culture for their teammates.
Your New Role:
Your new role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the department to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the hospital. In addition to the usual duties of an emergency RN, you will bring advanced clinical skill, professional behaviour, and ongoing professional development to the unit.
Bring higher level evidence-based specialisation into the clinical practice relevant to an emergency department.
Take up clinical responsibility and provide hands-on nursing care
Take leadership of a clinical portfolio to improve standards
Inspire staff with your clinical speciality skills through education initiatives
Build relationships with staff, patients and multidisciplinary teams
Engage in CPD to maintain and grow your specialisation and capability
About You:
- Specialised nursing experience in emergency care
- Post Grad Qual in Emergency Nursing or Cert IV in Training and Assessment desirable
- Current Registration with AHPRA and Working with Vulnerable People check
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
