Clinical Practice Lead - Melbourne

At the Healthscope Independence Services (HIS), we are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Practice Lead to guide policy, process and practice for HIS as a Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider operating within the NDIS. 

·             Permanent Part‑Time

·             Hourly rate -$55.72 -$58.19 per hour under the SCHADS award

·             Primary office location Victorian Rehabilitation Centre, Glen Waverley (WFH option available)

About the Role 

This key leadership role will report to the Business Operations & Optimisation Manager. This role will be required to deliver clinical governance, guidance and oversight within a disability services setting.This will include development and facilitation of education, policies, support and advice to disability support workers and managers across the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation and review of policies, forms and procedures related to clinical or high intensity practices, and medication management. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure clients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum 
  • Mentors and coaches support staff, and managers to improve service delivery and models best practice approaches and facilitates reflective practice. 
  • Support staff with client medication related practices and queries

 

  • Undertake practice reviews at HIS sites to ensure staff practices are aligned with current legislation, NDIS Practice Standards, and best practice frameworks

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Nursing, Allied Health, Disability, Welfare, or Critical Care, along with current NDIS Worker Screening and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of disability‑related legislation, NDIS and ACIA Quality & Practice Standards, and safe medication management practices. 
  • Experience providing leadership and guidance on policy, process, and practice within a clinical or disability service environment.
  • Strong clinical competence with the ability to identify risks, analyse data, and lead quality and safety improvement initiatives.
  • Proven organisational, problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and adapt to changing requirements.
