We are looking for a Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist (or Psychologist undertaking an Area of Practice Endorsement Clinical Registrar program) with a passion for excellence in clinical care. The position includes responsibility for providing a high standard of group and individual therapy to patients across our General Inpatient Program (Living Well Program) including the ICU/BMU, Older Persons’ unit, and Parent Infant Unit, as well as being part of and supported by the multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will plan, facilitate and evaluate groups, provide integral evidence based short-term intervention and highly skilled diagnostic and personality assessments. You will also contribute to team meetings and activities related to service planning, development and improvement.

This is an ongoing permanent part-time role (0.6 EFT)

As a Clinical Psychologist your responsibilities will include:  

·         Providing short-term psychological interventions to inpatients with complex presentations using a variety of modalities.

·         Administration and interpretation of psychological assessments including PAI, SCID, or other psychometric scales for diagnostic clarification.

·         Facilitating groups within the Living Well Program, and to work across other TMC programs as required, giving you exposure to specialist programs and training.

·         Work within the Allied Health multidisciplinary team including Mental Health Nursing, Neuropsychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Pastoral Care, Physiotherapy & Dietetics.

·         Attending relevant multidisciplinary team meetings.

·         Participating in the development and review of programs as necessary.

·         Participating in the development and evaluation of policies as appropriate.

·         Contributing to Clinical Psychology research projects.

Essential Criteria:

·         Current registration with AHPRA

·         Appropriate recognized qualifications in Psychology (ie. Masters, DPsych or Phd)

·         Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or currently undertaking an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology

·         Experience in group therapy facilitation

·         Experience in delivering a diverse range of modalities is desirable (DBT, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, Trauma focused care)

·         Exceptional organisation, time management and communication skills

·         Ability to balance working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team

·         Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice

·         Commitment to upholding high standards of ethical practice

·         Current Working with Children Check

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Enterprise Agreement the Healthscope – Victoria – Allied Health Professionals – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2022   (salaries range between $42.18 and $50.75 per hour), which is exclusive of both higher qualifications and superannuation.
