This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Darwin Private Hospital Management team and lead the CSSD Department at Darwin Private Hospital.

As the CSSD Manager your responsibilities will include:

·               Over-seeing a high standard of evidence based Sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital

·               As the CSSD Manager you will adhere to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and plan, assess, implement and evaluate the cleaning, sterilization and packing of hospital instruments

·               Provide clinical leadership - providing direction, support, supervision, teaching and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians

Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. Essential Criteria:

·               Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services

·               Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience working in a senior role within a CSSD

·               Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR

·               Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment

·               Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

·               Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail

·               Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases

·               An interest in promoting best practice patient care

·               A focus on professional development
