About the role:

 Hunter Valley Private Hospital is seeking a qualified and Motivated endorsed nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join our Surgical Team.

 Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5-theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and surgical services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN

  •  Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Medication endorsed EN may administer medications according to state law and organization policy


Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA

  • Working with Children check (if relevant)

  • Enrolled Nurse qualification in Monitoring and Administering IV Medications

  • Advanced level of clinical skills (desired)

  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care

  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

  • Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Works well as part of a team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF- NSW Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2025, a salary ranging from $35.75 - $40.24 per hour
