 The Opportunity

Mount Hospital is currently seeking a professional and customer/patient-focused Food Service Assistant (Team Leader on some occasions) to join the busy team.

 The successful candidate must be available to commit to part-time shifts based on a rotating roster:

      • Monday to Sunday from 6.00 am to 2.30 pm or Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 1.30 pm
      • Night shifts from 2.30 pm to 9.00 pm
      • Occasional weekends

        Key functions include:   

      •        Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays 
      • Checking the patient's diet and allergens to comply with food standard requirements
      •         Assisting in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
      •         Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment following hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards 

 About You

 You will be a great team player who is willing to learn and enjoys working in a supportive multidisciplinary team.

 To be successful in this role, you will have:

      •        Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services or similar
      •        Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
      •        Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
      •        Excellent time management skills
