Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ an experienced Food Services Assistant to join their busy department, This is a part-time role with the opportunity to increase to Full-time hours in the new year.  You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:                    

• Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays 
• Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
• Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards 
• Assist as Menu Monitor when required
• Liaising directly with patients and clinical staff including dietitians, speech pathologists and nursing as well as all food services staff

Selection Criteria:

• Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
• Certificate 4 Allied Health Assistance Nutrition and Dietetics (desirable)
• Prior experience  in Healthcare Food Services
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
