As the Front Office Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding of hospital administration processes from pre-admissions to discharge including informed financial consents, private health funding eligibility, patient accounts, billings, debtor’s collection, accounts payable
  • Rosters, staffing and supervision of staff including reception, pre-admissions, discharges, billing, theatre bookings, Process review and ongoing change management
  • Handling of enquiries and complaint resolution
  • Working knowledge of patient management systems (Webpas and Zedmed) and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in managing and leading a team
  • Direct reports may include catering and environmental departments

National Capital Private Hospital is a 148 bed acute hospital in the southern suburbs of Canberra. It offers high acuity surgery and treatments to the people of the ACT and the surrounding regions.  Co-located with the Canberra Hospital it provides a warm and welcoming place to work.

Essential Criteria:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
