Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Dietitian looking for a new and exciting role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for a skilled, collaborative and passionate dietitian to provide acute dietetic cover. This is a part time 0.8 maternity cover role.

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne’s east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a soon to be expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.

As a Dietician, your responsibilities will include:
· Providing evidence-based nutritional assessment and management of patients in an acute hospital setting
· Demonstrating sound clinical reasoning and evidence based practice
· Contributing to the multidisciplinary care of our patients
· Involvement in quality improvement activities and service improvement projects
· Supervision of undergraduate students
· Effective and efficient communication with patients, families/caregivers and members of the multi-disciplinary team
Essential criteria:
· Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) as recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia
· Eligible for full membership and APD status with Dietitians Association of Australia
· Minimum 2 years’ acute hospital experience
· Well consolidated acute clinical nutrition skills
· Competence in naso-gastric feeds and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
· Exceptional time management and communication skills
· Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
· Proven excellence in customer service delivery
· Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
· Authority to Work in Australia
