Health Information Services Officer – Records Storeperson – PPT fixed term

An exciting opportunity exists for highly motivated person to join our medical records team as a records store-person.

This role is a 6-month fixed term role, working approximately 2 shifts per week where you will be assisting our team with accurate storage, tracking, and movement of records within the hospital’s onsite storage and archiving records for offsite storage.

  

 As a Medical Records Store person your responsibilities will include:

·                 Culling of medical records and preparation for archiving to our offsite storage

·                 Handling/storage, and movements of records in our internal storage

·                 Handling/movement of archive boxes

·                 Ensuring accurate tracking and recording of record movements within allocated timeframes

·                 Maintaining a clean and tidy storage space at all times

  

 Essential Criteria:

·                 Excellent communication and organisational skills

·                 High -level Attention to detail

·                 Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment

·                 Ability to plan and work within deadlines

·                 Knowledge of Microsoft Office and General Computer literacy

·                 Prior experience in a hospital or Administration Role

·                 Proven ability to complete manual handling tasks in a safe and effective manner

 

Desirable Criteria:

·                 Previous experience within a Medical Records environment or dealing with confidential records

·                 Experience with the WebPAS patient information system

·                 Knowledge of basic medical terminology
