We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and experienced senior nurses to assume the role of Deputy Director of Nursing- Hospital Coordinator
This is a key role making up a critical component of the senior nursing management team. You will oversee the hospital operations, through the coordination of patient flow, experience and workforce management.
You will be a vital link between the "in hours" and "after hours" nursing teams while assuming the responsibilities for patient flow and clinical operational leadership.
Position Responsibilities
The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership and operational direction of the hospital with a strong focus on clinical performance indicators and stakeholder engagement and experience.
You will oversee and manage the key teams, which includes After Hours Managers, including being accountable and responsible for the effective patient flow throughout the hospital. Liaising daily with key stakeholders on the Randwick campus.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, and working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Managers, you will play a key role in a positive patient experience and the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration
- Recent management experience at ANUM, NUM, DON role of a small site
- Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline or management
- Knowledge of relevant Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
- Superior time management and organisational skills
