Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As the Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
· Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
· Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and Departments
· Assist with coordination of staffing
· Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes
· Coordinate patient admissions and provide discharge planning support
· Support the hospital’s commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards
· Maintain the safety of staff, patients and visitors
Essential Criteria:
· Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
· Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse
· Ability to manage competing demands and co-ordinate resources appropriately
· Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
· Demonstrate effective analytical and problem solving skills
Desirable Criteria
· Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow
· Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
· High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
