About the role 
Are you a highly motivated and skilled Registered Nurse, who has had previous management experience and is ready to undertake this key leadership role? 

Knox Private Hospital is seeking a Hospital Coordinator to join our exceptional leadership team. . Your clinical skills, excellent leadership capabilities, and positive approach to work will ensure your success in this role.  

As the Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

·       Supervise safe, quality patient care that meets current best practice standards

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and Departments

·       Liaise and coordinate patient admissions out of hours with our Visiting Medical Officers (VMO’s)

·       Assist with coordination of safe and efficient staffing profiles across all clinical departments

·       Manage patient flow including timely transfer of patients from the Emergency Department or external providers,

·       Coordinate and plan operational processes, including emergency responses

·       Coordinate patient admissions and provide discharge planning support

·       Support the hospital’s commitment to quality improvement, National Safety and maintain the safety of staff, patients and visitors

Essential Criteria:

·       Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse

·       Current unrestricted AHPRA registration

·       Ability to manage competing demands and co-ordinate resources appropriately

·       Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

·       Effective analytical and problem-solving skills 


Desirable Criteria

·       Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow

·       Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff

·       High degree of computer literacy including MS Office

·       Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

·       Leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (Salay range between $ 57.69 and $65.98 per hour + 12.5% Super)
