About the role:
Our Executive Office Team is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Administrator to join our team as a Human Resources Administrator on a part time basis (12 months’ maternity leave cover). The start date will be on 9th March 2026 until 22nd March 2027.
The Executive Assistant and Human Resource Administrator is responsible for managing the Human Resource processes of the hospital and providing administrative support to the executive team including payroll.
This position is an active member of the Executive team, responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing, Director of Finance + Executive Office Manager, and when required The General Manager, which enables Prince of Wales Private Hospital to fulfil its business and social objectives through effective performance and development of its people.
This comprehensive support includes general typing of all letters, memo’s, reports etc., organisation and upkeep of the appointment diary, answering phone calls, minuting of meetings, filing, database management, payroll and other duties as required. You will be one of the welcoming faces greeting visitors and staff as they arrive at the office.
This temporary part-time role would suit someone with recent tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Manager whom have proven administration & customer service experience and are looking to develop their skills and utilise their HR knowledge on a day-to-day basis.
This role in an on-site role.

As a Human Resources Administrator your responsibilities will include:
· Management of the Executive Office desk & calls for relevant HR matters
· Ensure all staff maintenance paperwork is completed and sent to pay-office
· Daily employee timecards maintenance and fortnightly pay run
· Manage internal and external HR enquiries, respond to information requests and maintaining staff records
· Monitoring, tracking and actioning HR metrics via Dashboards such as Turnover, FTE, Headcount, Casual hour conversion, & Work rights checks
· Management of Personnel files, including performance appraisals, position descriptions, visa sponsorships, and payroll documentation
· Complete other HR & clerical tasks as requested by the executive team
Selection Criteria Essential:
· Proven experience in general administration role, preferably within a Human Resources function.
· Generalist Human Resources knowledge
· Working knowledge of Australian Visa subclasses and Work Rights requirements
· Working knowledge of relevant Australian workplace legislation
· Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams)
· Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
· Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to interact positively with a wide variety of stakeholders with the confidentiality, professionalism and discretion
Desirable Criteria:
· Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management
