Ringwood Private Hospital is looking to employ a Kitchen Hand to join their busy Food Services department on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.


As a Kitchen Hand your responsibilities will include: 


  • Assist with deliveries, rotating stock and restocking areas
  • Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays 
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Striping and washing patient meal trays
  • Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
  • Prior experience  in Healthcare Food Services
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work
