Cloud & Platform Lead
Cloud & Platforms is a key leadership role responsible for driving the development and management of the private and public cloud platforms within the organisation. This role involves leading the work of the infrastructure and cloud teams, understanding business requirements, defining product vision and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable and scalable solutions. The role will work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritise requests, define product roadmaps and ensure that the private and public cloud platforms meet the evolving needs of Healthscope through a process of continuous improvement. Strong technical expertise in VMware private cloud and Azure public cloud technologies, strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead a team are crucial for success in the role.
Monitoring the productivity and performance of servers, creating schedules for updates, upgrade and patch management. Management of data centre availability is crucial to the role as well as managing relevant contracts, commercial licences and that SLA’s are reviewed and being met where applicable.
To ensure Healthscope technology infrastructure services are fit for purpose, responsive, maintained, available and reliable, and secure; including, but not restricted to – Cloud services, on-premises technology infrastructure, servers, virtualization, databases, Active Directory, backups, and Disaster Recovery.

About you
· Strong communication skills and stakeholder management at all levels within the organisation
· Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders
· Demonstrated strong mentoring skills and people uplift capability.
· Displays intellectual curiosity and integrity, desire to continuously learn and stay abreast of technology to provide innovative and effective solutions to customers

· Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
Qualifications
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a relevant/equivalent role and industry.
· Can demonstrate the development of architectural strategies and roadmaps, with experience in cloud migration and transformation
· Infrastructure engineering and operations capability: strong knowledge of VMware, Storage, Microsoft Server products, Citrix, Enterprise network and security systems, and remote access technologies.
· Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud services
· Demonstrated ability in successfully leading and managing a multi-skilled team operating a national technology footprint
· Commercial acumen, experience developing cost centre expense budgets and capital expenditure budgets.
· Experienced contract development, review, and management, inclusive of SLA’s
· Ability to set realistic stretch objectives, deliverables, timelines and budgets for the domain, identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities
· Exceptional planning and execution skills. The ability to drive superior outcomes through setting goals and objectives, making good decisions and having the self-awareness of his/her impact on the motivation of others.
