Nurse Educator

NURSE EDUCATOR – part-time 60 hours a fortnight

You will play a key role in the facilitation of Undergraduate Student Placement, provide mandatory training to staff and support the Education Team.

Your responsibilities will include:

•                      Facilitate Undergraduate Student Placements

•                      Provide hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, graduate nurses & students

•                      Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge

•                      Support staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components

The Geelong Clinic offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people with a range of mental health conditions. Programs include eating disorders, addiction and general psychiatry. A Community Outreach Program and a range of Day Programs are also available to support people in the community.

 Essential Criteria:

•                      Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration

•                      Minimum of 3 years experience in Mental Health

•                      High degree of computer literacy including MS Office

•                      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

•                      Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards / willingness to obtain)
