NURSE EDUCATOR – part-time 60 hours a fortnight

Are you a motivated and passionate nurse inspired by professional development and nurturing of others? An exciting career opportunity as a Nurse Educator awaits your application at The Geelong Clinic.

You will play a key role in the facilitation of Undergraduate Student Placement, provide mandatory training to staff and support the Education Team.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

                      Facilitate Undergraduate Student Placements

                      Provide hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, graduate nurses & students

                      Promote a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge

                      Support staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components

The Geelong Clinic offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people with a range of mental health conditions. Programs include eating disorders, addiction and general psychiatry. A Community Outreach Program and a range of Day Programs are also available to support people in the community.

 Essential Criteria:

                      Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration

                      Minimum of 3 years experience in Mental Health

                      High degree of computer literacy including MS Office

                      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

                      Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards / willingness to obtain)
