Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and an interest in delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence based practice? 
We are seeking an experienced casual Occupational Therapist - Grade 2 to undertake a role within the Allied Health team at John Fawkner Private Hospital.
 
  
 
As an Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:
  • Comprehensive Occupational Therapy rehabilitation services to acute inpatients of varied diagnostic groups
  • Maximise the occupational performance of patients, adopting a client-centred and goal directed approach
  • Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Occupational Therapy Department and hospital
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development programs, as required
 
 
 
John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north west of Melbourne.  With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 4 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community.  The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.

Selection Criteria:
  • Bachelor in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Excellent clinical practice skills in occupational therapy
  • Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
  • Autonomy in work practice
  • Current drivers licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
