An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate Occupational Therapist who has experience and interest in rehabilitation. As a Senior Occupational Therapist your responsibilities will include:
· Providing occupational therapy services to people with a wide range of conditions in an individual and/or group setting
· Liaising and coordinating with referrers, staff, relatives, and outside agencies to support independent living
· Interpretation of assessments and implications for patient management, via verbal and/or written report
· Participating in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate
· Working alongside a dynamic and passionate allied health team
· Supervision of Occupational Therapy students and new graduate Occupational Therapists
Lady Davidson Private Hospital is a 115 bed rehabilitation hospital with a large day therapy department located at North Turramurra, Sydney. The hospital provides multidisciplinary specialized rehabilitation across various case-mixes including neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, cardiac, general medical and reconditioning.
Selection Criteria:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital setting
· Clinical rehabilitation experience
· Current AHPRA registration
· Current Drivers Licence
· Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
· Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
· Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
· Ability to work autonomously and to identify and enact program improvement activities
· Proven excellence in customer service delivery
· Ability to work within and provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team
· Commitment to ongoing education and the provision of evidence based practice
· Demonstrated excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
· Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare Worker
The role is permanent full time, however permanent part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
