An exciting casual opportunity is available for highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Orderlies to join our team. This role will provide exceptional non-clinical patient care, supporting the nursing team and contributing to an industry-leading environment.
Key functions include:
- Provide exceptional customer/patient service by safely transporting/lifting patients, collecting and delivering specimens, equipment and consumables and by restocking supplies and consumables.
- Prioritise patient safety by ensuring patient transportation is safe and in good working order, and by being an active member of the emergency response team.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture
- Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope’s policies and processes
- Supports Healthscope’s safety and quality improvement and compliance with the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
About You
You will be professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-centric focus with highly developed customer service skills and the ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision.
To be successful in this role, you will hold:
· Experience in a hospital environment
- Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
- High-level attention to detail
- Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
- Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance or Certificate 2 in Health Support Services are desired
