Orderly
Our Support Services Team are seeking motivated individuals to work in a dynamic and fulfilling role as a Ward Orderly, within our busy hospital. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Transporting patients to their X-ray, CT scans and ultrasound appointments within the facility
- Liaising with the clinical team about patient safety
- Removal of hospital rubbish and used linen to the waste management area
- Assisting the Support Services Manager in various tasks around the hospital
- Stocking and management of medical air, oxygen, sharps and other items needed for the wards

Peninsula Private is a 62 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 4 operating theatres and 2 day procedure rooms, located on the idyllic Redcliffe Peninsula. Specialties include orthopaedics, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and internal medicine and the delivery of leading rehabilitation services and programs on the Brisbane northside.
About You
You will be a robust person with a sound understanding of the Healthcare environment. You will have an excellent understanding of WH&S, be focused on providing an efficient and safe shift and be able to respond to daily operational changes with a calm and supportive disposition. Training will be given for those that do not have experience as an Orderly. To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have great communication skills to cultivate a friendly environment for patients
- Have sound knowledge in WH&S and physical ability to perform the role
- Commit to our Safe Values
- Have excellent time management
- Be comfortable with competing priorities and flexible to change
- Be a supportive and engaging team member to support all assigned work tasks
