Join the team at Melbourne Private Hospital as a Patient Services Assistant! We're looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our team on a casual basis. If you enjoy caring for people and providing high levels of customer service, then this is the position for you!
Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
As a Patient Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:
· Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties i.e. Transport of patients, collecting equipment etc.
· Greet all patients/visitors/guests within the hospital with a friendly demeanour and answer enquiries
· Going above and beyond with caring for our patients
· Comply with site WHS policy, infection control standards and policy and procedures
Essential Criteria:
· Authority to Work in Australia
· Working with Children check (if relevant)
· Commitment to service excellence.
· Strong time management and prioritisation skills
· Excellent communication and customer service abilities
· Keen attention to detail
· Work well independently and within a team
· Available for on-call shifts
