Are you someone with exceptional customer service skills that would love a role that gives back to its community? If you love caring for people, then this is the position for you! A superb role has become vacant for compassionate individuals to join our rehab team as a Patient Transport Officer.
As a Patient Transport Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe and timely interhospital transport for patients, operating a transport vehicle
- Going above and beyond with caring for our patients
- Supporting service development, identifying opportunities to improve patient care and efficiency
- Ensuring our transportation service and systems comply with site WHS policy, infection control standards and policy and procedures
The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre is one of the largest private rehabilitation hospitals in Australia. We offer an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services in various specialties including multi-trauma, orthopaedics, neurology, cardiac, respiratory and pain management. We have a strong commitment to the provision of evidence-based practice and excellence in the delivery of care to our community.
Essential Criteria:
- High level problem solving skills
- Excellent Customer Service, organisational and communication skills
- Ensure quality service is provided and government regulations are complied with in relation to patient safety and infection control
- Experience in non-emergency patient transport
- Understanding of state legislation specific to patient transport and safe use of relevant equipment including transportation vehicle and wheelchair
