About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Perioperative Nurse to join Northpark and La Trobe Private Hospitals as a Perioperative Educator. In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead the development, coordination and delivery of evidence-based education and professional development programs across our perioperative services, including Theatre, Recovery and Day Surgery. The position aligns with the broader educator function of planning and delivering education programs that support strategic priorities, clinical excellence and compliance with NSQHS Standards.
Working closely with Perioperative Leaders, Clinical Nurse Educators, Managers and the Director of Nursing, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, support workforce capability development, facilitate orientation and competency programs, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting student, graduate, transition-to-practice and specialty education pathways while driving initiatives that enhance clinical skills, patient safety and workforce engagement.

Key responsibilities:
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members to deliver patient care
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration as Registered Nurse
- Thorough knowledge of ACORN standards and current legislation
- 5+ years clinical experience in perioperative nursing
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Post Graduate Qualification in perioperative nursing
- Post Graduate Qualification in education or leadership (desirable)
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE), or working towards (desirable)

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and VICNMA/ANMF- VIC Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, a salary of $61.3645 per hour.
