Are you an enthusiastic and skilled Physiotherapist looking to join a highly experienced interdisciplinary Allied Health Team?

Knox Private Hospital has multiple opportunities for innovative and passionate Physiotherapists to join our team on a casual basis. The successful applicants would be involved in providing clinical physiotherapy services to the acute orthopaedic surgical wards, and/or our Intensive care unit and cardiorespiratory patients. There is an opportunity to work across other Healthscope sites.

As a Physiotherapist – Grade 1 or Grade 2 (based on experience) your responsibilities will include:

  • Casual role providing comprehensive Physiotherapy weekend services to acute orthopaedic surgical inpatients and/or ICU/Cardiorespiratory patients.
  • Orthopaedics: Sound clinical assessment and discharge planning skills for patients following elective joint replacements as well as trauma presentations.
  • ICU/Cardiorespiratory: Provide expert clinical management for all patients in the Intensive Care Unit/High dependency Unit and acute cardiorespiratory wards.
  • Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence-based practice
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
  • Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload
  • Recent Acute Hospital experience in either acute orthopaedics and/or Intensive Care
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
