Prosthetics Coordinator

Permanent Full-Time | Knox Private Hospital | Wantirna, VIC

Are you a highly organised healthcare professional with strong coordination skills and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care? Knox Private Hospital is seeking a dedicated Prosthetics Coordinator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting our surgical services, ensuring the efficient management and coordination of prosthetic devices and associated inventory across a busy private hospital environment.

About the Role

As the Prosthetics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, tracking, management and reconciliation of prosthetic stock used across a range of surgical specialties. Working closely with surgeons, theatre teams, suppliers, finance and clinical departments, you will ensure prosthetic products are available when required while maintaining compliance, accuracy and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating prosthetic inventory across multiple surgical specialties
  • Liaising with surgeons, theatre staff and suppliers to ensure product availability
  • Managing prosthetic ordering, receiving and stock control processes
  • Monitoring consignment stock levels and coordinating replenishment
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, charging and reconciliation of prosthetic usage
  • Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Producing reports and supporting financial and operational performance initiatives
  • Contributing to process improvement opportunities within prosthetics management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in prosthetics coordination, theatre supply, inventory management, healthcare procurement or a related healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of prosthetic devices and surgical services (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and patient outcomes
