Position Summary
Suitably qualified Mental Health Clinicians are being sought for a fixed-term position at The Melbourne Clinic, Richmond, Victoria. The successful applicant will work within the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Program, a 3-week adult inpatient program which is designed to help individuals with OCD and related disorders gain the skills and knowledge to manage with their symptoms. The treatment approach is based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) principles with an emphasis on graded Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). The successful applicant may also be required at times to work within the Living Well Program which offers assessment, and group / individual psychological interventions to inpatients of general psychiatry, aged psychiatry and young persons’ programs. We are offering two 12-month fixed-term part-time roles (0.4 to 1.0 EFT) with EFT and days negotiable.
As a Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian, Art Therapist, Mental Health Nurse with therapy experience) your responsibilities will include:
· Providing targeted assessment and intervention to inpatients with OCD and related disorders within a CBT Framework, with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention
· Ability to work autonomously and work within a multidisciplinary team
· Exceptional time management and communication skills
· Experience providing individualised treatment within a group setting
· Facilitating groups within the OCD Program, and to work across our Living Well Program and other TMC programs as required,
· Work within the Allied Health multidisciplinary team including Mental Health Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Pastoral Care, Physiotherapy, & Dietetics.
· Attending relevant multidisciplinary team meetings.
· Participating in the development and review of programs as necessary.
· Participating in the development and evaluation of policies as appropriate.
· Contributing to quality improvement and research projects.

· Essential Criteria:
· Qualification in an allied health profession, e.g. Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Art Therapy, Mental Health Nursing with at least 12-month experience in mental health
· Masters or Doctoral post-graduate qualification (desirable)
· Registration with AHPRA for your profession, or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers, DAA for Dietitians, or ANZACATA for Art Therapists
· Completed specialist training, research or training in treating OCD and related disorders (desirable) or willingness to learn
· Experience in working with individuals with OCD (desirable)
· Experience with individual and group facilitation
· Experience (or willingness to learn) in delivering exposure-based approaches for OCD and related disorders
· Experience in delivering at least one therapeutic modality is required, with more than one desirable (e.g., CBT, ERP, ACT, DBT)
· Experience with a trauma-informed approach and offering recovery-focused care
· Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
· Ability to balance working autonomously and across a multidisciplinary team
· Commitment to ongoing education and provision of evidence-based practice
· Commitment to upholding high standards of ethical practice
· Current Working with Children Check

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience factored against the relevant Enterprise Agreement, being either the Healthscope – Victoria – Allied Health Professionals – Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 (Grade 2 salaries range between $45.65 and $54.93 per hour), or the Healthscope – Victoria – Psychologists and Dietitians Agreement 2023-2026 (Grade 2 salaries range between $49.23 and $56.60 per hour), which are exclusive of both higher qualifications and superannuation.
