With an amazing team of highly trained neonatal nurses and midwives and providing word class maternity care, Prince of Wales Private is the next step in your career!

If your passion is working in birth suite we have roles that can support your passion, development and work life balance! You will also work across the post-natal and Special Care Nursery on a rotational basis as required.

We have a dedicated maternity educator that will support your upskilling and will bring you a great introduction to the unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

·         Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and provide exceptional patient experience to woman and their families

·         Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

·         Ensure patient and staff safety

·         Supervise, direct and guide midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

·         Deliver education and support to mothers and their families 

Essential Criteria:

·         Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA

·         Current NSW Working with Children Check

·         Proven Experience in a similar role

·         Special Care Nursery experience advantageous

·         Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·         Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent communication and customer service skills

·         Works well independently and within a team

·         Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker

·         Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $40.26 – $56.54 per hour
