Knox Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established surgical team in the Delamere Ward. Our ward is a 30 bed short stay surgical ward, with a diversity of specialities including but not limited to gynaecological, general surgical and plastics specialities.

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.
All supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit. Our expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals will ensure that your experience is the best it can be.
Exciting new expansion for Knox Private Hospital
Work is almost complete on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne’s east.
The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility.
2023/2024 Expansion Project includes:
Three story North Tower with two wards (60 beds), upgrade to Knox Heart Centre (our non-invasive diagnostic cardiology), both recently commissioned, upgrade and increase in ICU and CCU beds, 16 chair renal dialysis unit and Specialist Consulting Suites
As a Registered Nurse (Orthopaedic/ENT/Paediatric) your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
- Provide complex and multi-disciplinary care
- Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA with a minimum 2 years experience
- Demonstrated experience in a surgical environment advantageous
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
- Flexibility to work a roster of Morning and Afternoon shifts as well as Saturdays when required.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $35.33 and $47.25)
