About the opportunity 

Join the team at Melbourne Private Hospital as a Registered Nurse! We’re looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our Critical Care team on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team, ensuring exceptional patient care is being delivered.

Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.

  

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care
  • Supervise and guide nursing team members
  • Educate and support patients in recovery, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care
  • Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient care
  • Serve as a role model for safe practices

 

Essential Criteria:

·       Authority to Work in Australia

·       Working with Children check (if relevant)

·       Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

·       Current unrestricted AHPRA registration

·       Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·       Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care

·       Self-motivated team player

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $36.13 and $48.32 per hour + superannuation)
