Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team.


The Chemotherapy and Day Infusion Centre is a private cancer service located in Norwest Private Hospital. The center provides day therapy, chemotherapy and intravenous infusions for patients with cancer and other chronic disease and disorders. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse who ideally has experience in this type of nursing however we would be willing to train.

The centre has a dedicated focus in the provision of high quality clinical care and caring for our patients through which is often a difficult time in their lives.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide evidenced based nursing care
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health needs

 Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse
  • Working with Children check
  • Minimum of 1 year oncology/haematology nursing experience
  • Completion of anti-neoplastic course or working towards same on EVIQ
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills and a high degree of computer literacy.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post Graduate Oncology Certificate
  • Experience in delivery of Chemotherapy and Central line
  • Experience and or willing to learn cannulation skills.
  • Relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills for anti-neoplastic management.


If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2015 – 2019, a salary ranging from $33.08 - $46.45 per hour.
