Melbourne Private is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator for our ICU department to join their established hospital team as a Permanent Part time employee- 22.5 hours per week.
As a Clinical Nurse Educator your responsibilities will include:
You will take on a leadership role in providing hands on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation to graduate nurses & students. You will promote a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge. In addition, you will also ensure staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components.
In this role, you will also attend relevant policy & procedure meetings, ward meetings and bi-monthly Education Meetings.
About the hospital
Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Post Graduate Certificate in ICU
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) (or working towards)
- Educator experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
