Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Intensive Care Nurse looking to join a supportive and nurturing team?

About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently seeking experienced Clinical Nurses to join our close-knit ICU team on a part time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct.

Specialities include; 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate high-level professional nursing practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
• Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care
• Maintaining your own professional learning and continuous professional development
• Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
• Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in ICU
• Minimum 2 years Post Graduate Experience, previous experience in a Coronary Care/Critical Care Unit
• Relevant post graduate qualification
• Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards

Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment

• Excellent communication skills
