Registered Nurse - Day Medical Unit - Maternity Leave Contract

Part Time (0.4 FTE)

Maternity Leave Position until 1 June 2026

Monday to Friday roster

We are seeking motivated and experienced registered nurses for our Day Medical Unit.  The successful individuals will have extensive broad nursing experience and be passionate about their work!

As a Registered Nurse in Day Medical Unit, you will:

• Deliver evidence based nursing care

• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

• Ensure patient and staff safety

• Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery and rehabilitation 

 You will bring to our high-performing team:

• AHPRA Registered Nurse

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

• Broad nursing experience, particular interest in Oncology and Hematology

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse

• Highly developed interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a systematic way, accurate and timely manner and be flexible in a changing environment

• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care 

• Computer literacy particularly in Microsoft office software

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2015 – 2019, a salary ranging from $37.38 - $49.79 per hour.

Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority.  Applicants will be required to provide a current (12 months or less) National Police check and a NSW Working with Children’s Check, prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases prior to commencement.
