Registered Nurse - ED

Gold Coast Private Hospital's Emergency Department continues to grow, to support our development we are seeking Registered Nurses to join a casual pool to support our team during busy periods.   You will play a key role working within a high performing team ensuring exceptional levels of patient care is provided.

Established in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include

·       Deliver safe. evidenced based nursing care

·       Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care

·       Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs

·       Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team

·       Ensure patient and staff safety

Essential Criteria:

·       Authority to Work in Australia

·       Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

·       Working with Children check

·       Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

·       Prior Emergency Department experience essential

·       Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·       Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
