Registered Nurse - PACU

About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established PACU team on a part time or full-time basis.

Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane’s busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards. Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
Your duties will include
- Provide evidenced based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Essential Criteria:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Recovery and/or Anaesthetics
- Current Advance Life Support
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
Remuneration: If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope-Queensland-Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 (salaries range between $41.49 - $52.97/hr for Registered Nurses)
