Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills to join our established, dynamic Recovery team on a casual basis.

Gold Coast Private Hospital focuses on providing high quality patient centred care in modern facility situated within the Health and Knowledge Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your duties will include
· Provide safe effective evidenced based nursing care.
· Liaise with VMO’s and the multi-disciplinary team.
· Recognise and respond promptly to clinical deterioration
· Supervise, direct and assist with staff education for graduates/novice/students
Monitor assessing and managing patients post anaesthesia
Management of complex pain management requirements
Essential Criteria:
· At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse within PACU
· Certified in post-operative nursing or working towards/willing to obtain.
· Current Advance Life Support Current Registration with AHPRA
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team
