Registered Nurse - PACU

Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care? Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills to join our established, dynamic Recovery team on a casual basis.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

 Your duties will include

·       Provide safe effective evidenced based nursing care.

·       Liaise with VMO’s and the multi-disciplinary team.

·       Recognise and respond promptly to clinical deterioration

·       Supervise, direct and assist with staff education for graduates/novice/students

       Monitor assessing and managing patients post anaesthesia

       Management of complex pain management requirements

Essential Criteria:

·       At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse within PACU

·       Certified in post-operative nursing or working towards/willing to obtain.

·       Current Advance Life Support Current Registration with AHPRA 

·       Commitment to Quality Patient Care

·       Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills

·       Works well independently and within a team
