Are you a Registered Nurse/Midwife with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality neonatal care?


Prince of Wales Private Hospital is looking to employ Registered Nurses/Midwives’ for our Special Care Nursey on a Full-time basis. Part-time hours or Casual work is also available for the right applicants upon request.

Our Women’s Health Unit encompasses antenatal, postnatal, intrapartum care, gynaecology and a level 2 special care nursery.   Our small but mighty team is proud to provide women and their families the highest standard of care and customer service.   


As a Registered Nurse/Midwife in SCN your responsibilities will be to:  

  • To provide quality nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient and new born care.
  • To provide a standard of care according to the individual’s level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
  • To develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
  • To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
  • When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
  • A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery/New Born Postnatal care.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team

Is successful, you will receive a salary based of award 23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses’ & Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with an hourly rate ranging between $34.59-$48.58. Successful applicants may be entitled to a remuneration bonus on sign-on.
