Prince of Wales Private is seeking experienced Scrub Scout nurses on a part time basis.

This role would be suitable for someone dedicated to the nursing profession who enjoys working in theatres.
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- Deliver evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
- Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
- Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- 2 years’ postgraduate experience as a Scrub / Scout Nurse
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
- Experience in Orthopaedic Surgery

If successful, your pay will be based on EBA 23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses’ & Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with an hourly rate ranging between $35.46- $49.79 per hour.
