As a Registered Nurse in Special Care Nursery your responsibilities will be to:  

  •  To provide quality nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient and new born care.
  • To provide a standard of care according to the individual’s level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
  • To develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
  • To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.
  • When required, working on other wards in the Hospital.

 

What you'll need to succeed

Essential Criteria:

  •  Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  •  Minimum of 3 years Neonatal nursing level 2 nursery experience
  •  Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery
  •  Working with Children check (if relevant)
  •  Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  •  Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  •   Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  •   Excellent communication and customer service skills
  •   Works well independently and within a team
  •   Intermediate computer skills

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing (or working towards)

More Information: Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority. Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police check (no more than 3 months old) and a current working with children check prior to appointment and persons in patient contact roles will be required to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.

 

Remuneration

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020- 2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.59 per hour.
