Norwest Private Hospital is seeking experienced and compassionate Special Care Nursery Nurses to join our Women’s Health team.

About the department
Our Women’s Health Unit includes:
- 43‑bed postnatal, antenatal, and gynaecology ward
- 7 modern Birthing Suite rooms
- A 7‑bed Special Care Nursery, supporting our maternity services
You’ll work closely with midwives, medical staff, and allied health professionals in a collaborative and respectful environment.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery, you will:
- Deliver high‑quality, family‑centred neonatal nursing care
- Work autonomously within the SCN while being supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team
- Apply sound clinical judgement and decision‑making in a nursery setting
- Uphold ACQSHC National Standards and Healthscope values
- Contribute to continuous improvement and positive patient experiences
About you
Essential criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years’ Neonatal Nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in SCN
- Neonatal qualification (or actively working towards)
- Skilled with respiratory support such a bubble CPAP and HHFNC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and safety
- Sound clinical decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Nursing (or working towards)
